About the Federation
SAHAS operates as an umbrella organization, bringing together a federation of more than 35 independent Afghan Hindu and Sikh associations. Founded as a 501(c)(3) public charity on August 15, 2021, in New York, USA, its mission is to foster formal collaboration among Afghan Hindus and Sikhs globally.
The members are united by similar goals and collaborate to accomplish significant objectives. As a result, they created a federation of associations and societies to support each other in advancing their shared cause.

SAHAS is the only recognized legal entity authorized to represent the interests of Afghan Hindus and Sikhs at the United Nations (UN) and other governmental bodies.
